The Journey called Life

A lone retrospecting soul
looked back at the pathway
on which life leisurely strolled
leaving its manifest foot prints
to the gold dusted avenue
in the secluded place where
a ravaged orchard and
a shriveled fountain
welcomed her essence
to evening skyline
through the mangled window
of the vintage-old manor's
disfigured walls and
timeworn murals
made her see through the
broken pieces of mirrors
lying on the paved floor
reminiscing its journey
romancing with fate
and
camouflaging the despair !

Odyssey through the pieces
of speculum scattered below
flew in a course of time travel
to some land unknown
resembling a hefty mansion
decked with variant artifacts
and glistening chandeliers
emanating aura of divinity
where a naivety sauntered
in the stairs of hallway
her anklets danced
trilling tales of marvel
her timid azure eyes
oomph-ed rills of love
her innocence face
resembled harmonious dove.

Time vamoosed
as if spirits in thin air
life consumed bit by bit
love pinched cheeks
and left her pined for more
solicitous years gone by
loneliness cajoled her
took her in svelte arms
attachments succumbed
strings severed and perished
still the unknown wait
kept her in unfulfilled spirit
roaming in the lowland
in eternal tears and strife
Is it the savaged form of
the journey called life ???
