BROTHER
He
is my partner in crime. He listens to my nonsense jabbers and responds with
equally zestful nonsensical verbal banter. Behind our reckless fights for
television remote, cycle rides and now
for smartphones nothing has changed but our chronological age. He is my punch
bag when I am upset. He is that living teddy bear which I can cuddle and cry
for hours during break ups. Since childhood, he is my first friend. He is my
protecting shield when I am amidst the crowd. He is my best opinion box when I
am unsure. He is the one who on exchange of a meager thread tied around his
wrist called “Rakhi” every year, promises to be around, promises to protect,
promises to be the one who can break legs of the ones who breaks his sister’s
heart. He is my brother who irrespective of age is my first friend.
