Birthday
Once in a year
it comes knocking
bringing in wishes
pouring in gifts
filling my heart
with much needed relief
that I am still wanted
it makes me believe.
This year too
it came on its time
when the clock hit 12
all sang in rhyme
blowing the candles out
I wished for a year
with smiles all around
without any fear.
Birthdays are special
to make one feel good
about how blessed they are
by people they connect to
thank you so much everyone
for making efforts so that I smile
will cherish every single wish and blessing
for yet another year till the next time.
